Farming

Reclaimed long-abandoned land and began growing grapes in spring 2020. Since opening, biodynamic farming has been practiced: no fertilizer (though biodynamic preparations are used), no tillage, and no chemical pesticides.

BACKGROUND

Worked many years at a major printing company. He then studied for a year at the Chikumagawa Wine Academy (fourth class) and left the company. From 2020 he began planting vines in the Nukaji district of Komoro, Nagano — known locally as 'Getta' — at around 900 m elevation.
