BACKGROUND

Grew interested in overseas food culture and wine as a student. After working in hospitality, he spent working holidays in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. Back in Japan, he applied to and was admitted to the Chikumagawa Wine Academy in Tōmi. From 2016 he has grown Pinot Gris and other varieties at his own vineyard around 900 m elevation in Tōmi, beginning contract vinification in 2021.
