BACKGROUND
Third-generation owner of Kitazawa Vineyard in Chikuma, Nagano. His philosophy is to harvest the entire crop at high quality without limiting yields. In 2015 he founded and chaired the Chikuma City Wine Grape Research Group. From 2017 he trial-vinified his grapes with Villard Winery; Malbec performed well and was adopted as a recommended variety for the city.
