VITICULTURE
Farming
Varieties: Pinot Noir (1.0 ha), Chardonnay (0.5 ha), Kerner (0.5 ha), Gewürztraminer (0.1 ha). Elevation 70 m, 3.5 km from Yōtei Bay. A stony, well-drained hilltop site where the diurnal temperature range builds both sweetness and acidity.

Birthplace — 福岡県
BACKGROUND
Born in Fukuoka in 1977. After 18 years in banking, he took up farming. Unable to forget a master's thesis he once wrote on winery start-ups, he made a fresh start, moving his family of three from Fukuoka to Hokkaido.

Banker (18 years).
TRAINING
Learned viticulture for a year at Kimura Farm and studied winemaking over four seasons (2019–2022) under Bruce Gutlove at 10R Winery.
