Through a long road of trials, to hold fast to one’s own convictions—and if a beautiful spirit comes to dwell there, that is the greatest joy of all. Committed to using only grapes from Nayoro, expressing this northern land. Drawing on all that nature brings—every turn of events—we want to keep growing grapes and making wine.
試され続ける長い道のりの中で自分達の志を守り、そこに美しい精神が宿ったならばそれはこの上ない喜び。原材料に名寄産葡萄にこだわり、この北の地を表現する。森羅万象、起こりうるすべてを糧として葡萄を作りワインを造り続けたい。

BACKGROUND
A former engineer and graduate of Hokkaido University. Together with his wife (from a mochi-rice farming family, in charge of cultivation), he grows grapes and makes wine in Nayoro, Hokkaido — Japan's northernmost winery. Grape growing began in 2011, with the first harvest in 2014. The couple runs the winery together, with him in charge of fermentation and winemaking.
